Rice and porridgedepending on whether it is brown or white are predominantly simple carbs, giving you more energy in the afternoon depending on your lifestyle(Active/Sedentary) you may be storing it up. If you are calory counting best sticking to a plan of how many kilojoules you expend(usually around 1,500kj for a woman). If you are on a detox aspart of your weight loss I would recommend eating your simple carbs in the morning best time to detox is the afternoon when metabolism slows down and our Action potential/A.T.P. systems are preparing the body for rest. Best of Luck!!

Hi Amie
You can use some special exercises for your back and thus muscles become stronger, require more energy and become slimmer.

hey amie, i can tell u for sure, that hip, gluteus and thigh weight will melt away, and clothes waist sizes will be inches less, if u do one thing, besides mostly nutritious food, reduce ur salt intake to under 400mg a day, for all food and drink u consume. the body holds on to large fat mass with high sodium, very common in foods. make an art of adding flavor ingredients instead of salt to make up for the change. buy no salt ingredients and make ur own condiments and meals. otherwise u are adding weight unavoidably. lo sodium vegetable soups should be a staple. cheers

ps. rice is usually high glycemic, switch to lo glycemic basmati rice, and the best i found is "sella" style basmati which is parboiled then dried to retain the nutrients, so it is healthy and lo sugar. delicious in soups, sautes, and other main dishes. cheers
